Amber DeWitt

Venture Associate

Amber brings a breadth of agriculture knowledge to Fulcrum. She was raised on her family’s farming operation in central Missouri and focused her education on agricultural economics, specifically beef and livestock economics.

Amber is a graduate of Kansas State University, with her M.S. and B.S. in Agricultural Economics. During her master’s program, Amber served as a graduate research assistant and completed thesis research related to the cowherd supply response of cow-calf producers and the demand response for beef at the wholesale level.

Prior to attending Kansas State, Amber graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College with an associate degree in agriculture business.

Amber has research and internship experience with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, National Grazing Lands Coalition; Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry; Noble Research Institute; and Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry.

She has also served as a Farm Foundation Agricultural Economics Fellow, Kansas Farm Bureau Fellow, and Kansas Food and Agricultural Policy Fellow. These experiences enable Amber to consider the environmental, economic, and social tradeoffs of differing agricultural practices and technologies, especially at the farm level.

Amber is passionate about rural America and innovative agricultural technologies. She enjoys learning about how agricultural producers adopt technologies and is excited to be a part of bringing innovative technologies to global food and agricultural production.

Amber enjoys horseback riding with her family, spending time outdoors, and attending concerts with her friends.
